Imran Khan started the health facility program because his mother had cancer. They could not get them treated in Pakistan.  Due to this, his mother died, and Imran Khan was very worried. Considering this problem of people as his problem, he planned to introduce health cards. Those who are sick at home and cannot get treatment due to a lack of financial facilities will get their treatment free from the government.

After that, Imran Khan founded the Shaukat Khanum Hospital, which provides free treatment to cancer patients. And about 440 billion rupees have been approved for the health facility program. In March 2022, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced in the city of Lahore in Punjab that every citizen of Pakistan is entitled to a health card. 

Our current Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Shahnawaz Sharif, has restarted this program. Now, people can get treatment quickly through a national identity card. If you are suffering from any disease and have your National Identity Card, you can get up to 10 lakh rupees for free treatment.

  • To find out your eligibility for an Up Sehat Insaf Card, SMS your ID card number to 8500
  • Sehat Insaf cards have been distributed to one crore families across the country.
  • The distribution of health cards has started for 25 lakh families in the Rawalpindi district.
  • Pakistanis with a daily income of Rs.300 or less will be treated free of cost in quality hospitals.
